Hi.
With the talk of light battleships set for Module R13, I wanted to see if there was the potential for a Kestrel-ification of the Klingon B9, to go alongside the King Shrike previewed in Captain's Log #41; if it hadn't been put in the to-be-published file already.
There's nothing much in the way of originality in this design, but it would at least give Romulan players with a penchant for the Starline 2400 range an opportunity to use the recent B9 miniature on the tabletop.
Also, while it's not tied to SFB, having a KB9R could be useful in FC, if other light battleships are decided upon for inclusion in some of the upcoming PDF pack releases via e23. (One idea I had for that game system was to have the KSH in with other Hawk-series hulls in one 12-card file, and a KB9R Ship Card as the headline ship for a pack of Kestrels.)
Not that they have been selected or anything; they may well not be. It was more a case of if they were, and if there was interest in more FC Kestrels, then it could be useful to have a KB9R considered for the mix.
If the KB9R is a Kestrel-ification too far, fair enough; and I'm sorry if it comes across more as a request for FC's sake than for SFB's. Still, I figured I would be as well to ask about it than not.

PETRICK ANALYSIS
KB9R: Frankly, if we do the light battleships (and some have been in Captain’s Log), I see no reason not to do a Romulan conversion of the B9 as part of it. It would be conjectural, but right now all light battleships are conjectural because almost all battleships are conjectural except the B10.
COLE ANALYSIS
concur
FINAL ANALYSIS
very highly likely to be in R13 with the rest of the BBLs.
