For the Andromedan TOC, there are a few details in Module C5 concerning the Andromedan presence in the Lesser Magellanic Cloud:

*(MA1.0) MAGELLANIC HISTORY
*(MS1.113)
*(MS1.26) ANDROMEDANS
*(MS1.517) AGAINST THE ANDROMEDANS
*(MS1.518) GUERRILLA WARFARE
*(MS1.519) OPERATION UNITY

I'm not sure if there's a formal rule anywhere covering the Andro presence in Omega, though references to things like the Grand Quest and Operation Concerted Strike are present in Module Omega 3 and the Omega Master Rulebook:

*(OA1.0) BACKGROUND

Oh, and if background articles are up for consideration, Captain's Log #35 has the following:

*A BRIDGE BETWEEN GALAXIES: From Here to M31

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Friday, January 14, 2011 - 01:46 am: Edit

All, several more of these have been uploaded, most of Alpha.

Gary, I have made a note of your suggestions. At this point I don't have the Magellanics or Omega TOCs converted and submitted yet. The only CL I have done is #28(SSJ#2) which has been submitted but not posted yet. Thanks

By the way, they are being posted here: http://www.starfleetgames.com/playerresources.shtml

Module C5 has data relevant to the Jindarians, too:

*(MA1.0) MAGELLANIC HISTORY
*(MR1.15) SMALL ASTEROID SHIPYARD
*(MR1.16) LARGE ASTEROID SHIPYARD
*(MS1.1121)
*(MS1.25) JINDARIANS

Note that the two asteroid shipyards are not Jindarian units in and of themselves, but were built by the Jumokians (and later by the exiled Magellanic remnants) based on Jindarian design templates. Their listing here represents the Jindarian legacy for the LMC powers; which helped keep them alive during the dark days of Andromedan occupation.

Captain's Log #42 includes the following LMC scenario, which includes both Jindarian and Andromedan forces:

*(SL297.0) PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN

(The Jindarian data in X1R has an LMC twist also; it notes that the Caravans present in the Cloud by Y202 adopted advanced technology after contact with the Operation Unity forces.)

As yet, no formal rule yet details the presence of the Jindarians in the Omega Octant (not least the Jindarian Freehold, seen on the Omega maps), but some information regarding their presence there is in the Omega Master Rulebook:

*(OA1.0) BACKGROUND

While an overview of Bruce Graw's original intent for the Freehold (and for other powers, such as the Omega-Paravians) are in Captain's Log #36:

*SNAPSHOT: OMEGA'S LOST FUTURES

For the Federation, the following article in Captain's Log #41 details the operations of various survey ships, including ones sent to the Lesser Magellanic Cloud (and one sent to the Omega Octant):

*CLASS HISTORY: THE FEDERATION SURVEY CRUISERS

Hey, these TOC pages are cool beans. I may print them on tabbed dividers for my rule book.

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Friday, January 14, 2011 - 12:09 pm: Edit

Gary, noted.

Loren, Thanks. That was my plan as well, sorta. Mine are printed on card-stock, then placed in sheet protectors and I have these stick on tabs (with label inserts)I add to the sheet protectors as a regular tab divider gets lost between sheet protectors. Eventually I hope to add charts and tables to the relevant sections as well. It is definitely a work in progress as I am sure there are mistakes I made, and I probably missed some of the relevant published errata.

In the list of Captain's Log scenarios, the following should be noted as being for Omega:

*(SL283.0) WILDSPACE
*(SL292.0) FIRST BATTLE OF AURORA

Also, should the playtest Magellanic material from E1 and certain older Captains' Logs still be listed? They have all been superseded by what's in Module C5; there probably ought to at least be some sort of note advising people of this.

The file listing the Triangulum Empires should include the following, from CL23:

*RN103.0 THE IMPERIUM

The entry in the GN0.0 file should probably list GN100.0 as simply "ROTARY SHIELDING", or perhaps "HELGARDIAN ROTARY SHIELDING". Unlike Neutronium armor, the RSH is not common to many M33 empires, but is unique to the Helgardians.

A couple of ISC notes:

Captain's Log #41 Supplemental has the ISC Light Battleship (BBL) though without a number formally assigned to it.

I think the entry in the ISC file for R9 might be in error. While that module's rulebook has duplicated entries for certain ships, the actual SSDs are elsewhere. The LCA, LCV, LFF, LFE, HPL and PV are in Module R8; the NCA and NCS in R10.

Joel, has finished uploading all of the ones I have done. He deserves thanks for his hard work :+)

Well, I've long wanted section dividers with some art and a big section letter or something. I never thought about a section TOC. It's a brilliant idea.

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Friday, January 14, 2011 - 05:30 pm: Edit

I can't take full credit for the idea, they are mostly just updates of the dividers that came with the TFG Captain's Rule Book Boxed set (remember the binder Stickers?) I just thought it needed updating badly. My old dividers have most of the newer information (up to R10) handwritten as I was a lousy typist, but over the years have become more computer savy and a better typist.

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Friday, January 14, 2011 - 05:46 pm: Edit

Gary, in re E1, not everyone has E1 or if they have it they may not have C5. If someone doesn't want to print those one no one forces them to either. They are reference for those that don't own them as well.
As for the Captain's Log scenarios (same can be said for Nexus scenarios) they are part of the SFU history. I have never written or converted a scenario for the SFU, but they can serve as a good checklist for finding scenarios that haven't been converted from Commanders Edition SFB to Captain's Edition SFB or from a SFB scenario to Federation Commander.

re, the ISC, I listed where the ship description was published (not were the SSD is) there are quite a few of these were the description is not in the same place as the SSD, and even more where the description is in two books but the SSD is in one.

I appreciate your comments, thanks for your input so far.

Shawn,

Have you thought about creating a single file with page breaks for each section?

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Friday, January 14, 2011 - 07:57 pm: Edit

Ken,
It would be easier to download, but then it would be too big to upload to the site, I had that problem with scans of starletters I submitted. I also think it would make it harder to update when a new product comes out.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Saturday, January 15, 2011 - 08:28 am: Edit

Loren, what an excellent suggestion. I never thought of using Shawn's work as Section Dividers.

I will admit I'd like to see 2 page file shrunk to 1 page of 2 Columns I can easily work with what is there.

Time to update my current (read ancient) SFB Captain's Rulebook.

By Lawrence Bergen (Lar) on Saturday, January 15, 2011 - 11:34 am: Edit

TM: Just print it on both sides of the card stock before adding the tabs.

I would love to see an updated version of these for F&E. I lost my old handmade file.

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Saturday, January 15, 2011 - 04:02 pm: Edit

Lar: F&E, Nexus, CL, Newsletters, FC and PD are on my eventual "to do" list.

Jean, thanks for updating the header.

TOCs for Omega, Magellanic, and Triangulum Annexes got posted today.

By Gary Carney (Nerroth) on Thursday, January 20, 2011 - 09:00 pm: Edit

The link for the Mæsron Alliance file isn't working, for some reason; nor are those for the Qixa Amalgamate and the Branthodon Regime.

Also, the file for OR11.0 consistently refers to "Sigviron"; it should instead be to "Sigvirion".

A few of the other empires have their names listed incorrectly in the TOC ("Kolighar", "Trobin" and "Alundra", rather than "Koligahr", "Trobrin" and "Alunda"); but they are named correctly in their actual TOC files.

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Friday, January 21, 2011 - 01:40 pm: Edit

New, I submitted Module G3.
Sent an email to Joel about the misspellings and broken links. Submitted a revised Sigvirion,All Empires, and Omega Empires with "Trobrin" and "Sigvirion" corrections. Thanks, Gary.
