When the term 'self-escorting' is used, does that mean that the proposed upgrade of the ship in question would then be treated as single-ship carrier?

For an empire that was very lukewarm about building carriers, is this proposal appropriate?

Personal opinion: Adding that much mass in the wings will change the movement cost.
SVC SAYS TO USE BC ENGINES

I also suspect this will negatively effect the light cruiser's turn mode.

That would be a Probr ship of some kind with such wings surely!

I see lots of superiority fighters in it's future....

Assault fighters would leave it a sitting dino

IF that's a ship that suffers maneuver issues then it's the perfect ship to be sent to a small base (or planet) that is under immanent threat. (Or to one in the process of being upgraded.)
