We could do a heavy battleship for everyone. I am not sure why.

What about battleship sized maulers to counter larger Andromedan maulers?
If the Alpha races ever designed or deployed ships bigger than battleships what would the new class be called? Man-o-wars? Octant Control ships?
If the Juggernaught race was percieved as more of a threat would Alpha ships get larger to match them one on one or would we just see X-battleships?
Are Juggernaught Alpha and Beta the largest ships that race built or are they only cruiser sized for them and even bigger ships exist????
Did the Andromedans deploy ships bigger than the Desacrator in their home galaxy?
What about the Tholian home galaxy? They can build dyson spheres but not sdhips as big as a hive ship or bigger than the NBB?

Just a few Battleship ideas that have been floating around in my head for a while now:
Pocket Battleships: DNs with Battleship level heavy weapons. Picture an enlarged Rom KH.
Fed: All saucer (ala DD/NCL) BB
Rom: Early pre smarba BB. An enlarged Vulture.
Kzinti: BBD mounting 6 or 8 d-racks.
Gorn: Twin bubble BB (and DN) designs
Tholian: Two Ds mated ala the CA
Lyran: Something more in line with their regular trimaran ships. Smaller center section with new side hulls. This could also lead to a new catamaran design.
WYN: Captured and converted CAs from the neighbors.

I remember a double headed Skyhawk. Don't remember a double headed Sparrowhawk but I missed a few issues.

One thing to remember is that several of the last issues of Star Fleet Times are online.
The DoubleHawk was in Volume 42.

One more, then I'll quit for a while.
Neo-Tholian "cargo collar"
This would be a collar for the NCL or NCA that added a small cargo capability rather than weapons and power. It would turn a Neo-Tholian cruiser into a fast, heavily armed transport for small but very high value items. It would only ever be used if there was a possibility the transport might have to fight its way through to its destination. I doubt it would be much use in the Holdfast itself. But conceivably the Tholians might deploy something like this for emergency resupply of their Operation Unity forces, if Andromedan counterattacks had compromised the security of the supply lines. It would be an emergency measure only, never used for routine transfers, which could be handled quite well by CPCs.
