The Carniovons do not have any 1st Generation X-Ships. I suspect that any of them would be considered to be known variants and don't count for anything. Except as a request to be published in a Captain's Log or other X-Ship product.

You never know, if the General War Carnivons were ever threatened with extinction, it might have caused them to pour every Xp they could beg, borrow or steal into the only known first generation size class 2, X-Ship.

Didn't Jindarians have size class 2 first generation X-ships?

There were comments made during the Jindarian development that their ships were one size bigger than their systems. There's a SC3 ship at the center of that SC2 rock, thus X-tech is a go.

Now we just need to figure out a backstory for how the Carnivons got their hands on a Jindarian Dreadnought...

For what (little) its worth, I had posted a couple of thoughts regarding first-generation X-technology for the "lost empires" of Module C6 over in this thread.

I should note that (R19.10) makes clear hat the Carnivons were unable to install X-technology into their heavy battlecruiser hull, and had to build a first-gen X-cruiser up from their heavy cruiser design instead. Which puts them in the same circumstances as other "metal-hull" empires in the Alpha Octant.

On a side note, if the Sargasso Storm Zone project ever gets up and running, it would be interesting to see what, if any, Sargasso X-tech were to look like some day - and, in particular, how different it would work for the Sargasso-Carnivons relative to the "lost empire" Carnivon X-ships being discussed in this topic.

I'm playing a couple of Campaigns as the Carnivon and was wondering if Carnivon X ships would make an appearance at some point in the not too distant future?
