This is a topic which falls under the "obvious variant" category. But for those "Mapsheet P" timelines from Module C6 in which the Paravians form a colonial empire and remain a presence in the Alpha Octant, I wondered if it would be reasonable to envision the presence of mauler variants as "historical" rather than "conjectural".
As in, for those timelines in which the "on-map" Paravians formed a coalition with the Romulan Star Empire, I'd argue that it would be no more or less reasonable to picture the Romulans making mauler technology available for the Paravians as they did for the Klingons (and, by extension, the Lyrans).
In ship terms, a Paravian mauler cruiser based on the CA, plus a war mauler cruiser derived from the CW, might be useful for Paravian fleets tasked with attacking Gorn and ISC (and Orion and Andromedan) bases. Presumably, once the Paravians adopt first-generation X-technology, X-maulers (akin to the Romulan FlameHawk-X from Module X1R) would then be a possibility.
I wouldn't picture maulers as being of any use to the Paravians in Module C6's "off-map raider" timeline, due to the logistical and operational difficulties involved.
So, would it make sense for the "Mapsheet P" Paravians to acquire and use mauler technology, or would it be more reasonable to expect them to decline such an option?
