You also need the various pods, reserve, Admiral, casual PFs, Prime Teams etc, for the LDR and Seltorians.

Vudar

By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Monday, March 01, 2004 - 06:01 pm: Edit

What years do the Andromedans attack the minor races (like the Wyn, Tholian and LDR?)

IIRC one of them ceases to function... (LDR?maybe?)

By Scott Tenhoff (Scottt) on Monday, March 01, 2004 - 06:14 pm: Edit

LDR dies in Y195

WYN has a Dominator attack it and die right after the ISC attack the WYN (and are repulsed).

Steve:
Is there any chance we could get some kind of paper overlay to put over the Vudar space??

By David Johnson (Djj) on Tuesday, March 02, 2004 - 01:17 am: Edit

Steve, What I wanted to know is if the BATS have rebuilt as most if not all border BATS are usually toasted and none of the players have enough cash to rebuild but say a few BATS if any on a collapsed economy.

DJ: I think the border bats thing is defined in caplog in a general way, but that's for the ISC topic. We'd need to do a specific base by base list and that won't happen today.

Overlay for vudar space, could be included in civil wars project.

Pulled out F&E again to think about some scenarios. Also built myself some play-aids to make things simpler for econ purposes.

After mapping out and dividing up Lyran and Kzin space to see just how much each 'Duchy' and 'Area' bring in I thought about trying to impliment my own civil war scenarios.

For counters, I thought about adding a colored mark somewhere on each counter to designate what it's allegiance was. That way, if one were to play a GW scneario, not only would you be able to set-up faster but you'd also be able to use the same counters and keep track of your fleet compositions. I thought about either a colored dot somewhere or coloring one of the corners.

I'd have to think up some scenarios to see if it would be worth it to have a civil war waged in Lyran space, with the present map. I think it can be done, even including the LDR.

Just some thoughts.

Garth, do you have that map with the Fleet Deployment zones highlighted? And do you have it as an EPS or Adobe Illustrator file?

By Garth L. Getgen (Sgt_G) on Sunday, October 16, 2005 - 12:06 pm: Edit

Dan, no. I did that on PaintShop Pro (after "borrowing" the GIF from someone's web site). Not a bad idea, tho.

Mike,

If you want, I can put the Neutral Zones back to one-hex bites, vice the two- or three-hex bites that's on that map.

I have most of the F&E map done as an Illustrator file. I'm still missing the province boundries, but I can probably add them in the next day or so.

Here's a gif export of the Looking Glass version:

hey Steve
No Federation ...Vulcan??? empire ...hmmm a idea ...what year is this set for ....mholiver

Michael - Ideas for the Looking Glass background were discussed in this thread on the forum:
http://www.starfleetgames.com/discus/messages/38/2013.html

My version makes a bit more (or a bit less) sense with this overlay:
Vulcan.gif

It assumes that the initial meeting between Vulcan and Earth did not go well - mistakes were made, shots were fired, and Empire Earth ended up quarantined by the Vulcan Navy. It's an Early Years map, but I haven't set an exact year yet. (If Boeing can move their headquarters to Chicago, than so can I.)

And a draft Marquis overlay, to keep on topic for Civil Wars:

Hi!

I was wondering if there might be scope for including a scenario, and ships, for fighting out the war between the Peladine Republic and the Lyran Far Stars Duchy in Y130?

One could be flexible with the start dates for Peladine production of new ships - or allow the Peladine to be fore-warned of the Lyran threat (making it a race to see if they can build up enough defences to hold the Lyrans off) - whichever helps.

(It would probably need a Delta Sector map to make it work, though.)

As Ryan Opel suggested in another thread, including the early DNs for the Four Powers (from R7) might be interesting, too.

The colors have already been set in SFB as black on rose (pink); F&E follows the SFB patterns.
