Any Federation Commander, SFB, or Battle Force players in the Houston area?
Kerry, check out thisthread on the starfleetgames BBS. Look at the 4th post up from the end of the list...

Bryan says he's looking for an SFB opponent in the Houston area. He doesn't mention Fed Comm, but you might get him to give it a go?

I played a demo game last night at Asgard Games (Kirby just south of US59) to teach a friend the basics. There were a couple people watching who'd played SFB in the 80's (like me) and took time to examine the rules and ship cards.
I'm going to try to establish a group to meet one night per month initially.
If there are any other Houston lurkers here interested, please let me know if there's a monthly time that you'd prefer (e.g., second Tuesday of the month, etc.)
Thanks.

Tonight we played a 4-way intro game. Myself and another old-time SFB player, one of the owners of Asgard Games (new to the game) and another gamer who'd never played any ADB products.
We each took a different cruiser in Fleet Scale (Fed, Klingon, Wyn, and Hydran) and ran through the basics of movement, fire, damage allocation, etc.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and I think we might have the beginnings of a play group. I'll follow up when we get some agreement on a standing game night so anyone else in the area will know when to show up with good odds of getting to play.
