FATHEAD

Booster Packs, Squadron Boxes, etc. (you get the idea) can be discussed here.

FATHEAD

Post by Bolo_MK_XL »

Anyone asked about or given voice to producing Ships/Fighters/shuttles in the Fathead format ---

Don't know what ADB's rights would be for allowing that --

That'd be a pretty cool additon to my game room wall, I must admit!

Especially if I could get exploded ships, too.

They are basically self-adhesive, color graphic 'poster' which is made of a vinyl material to make it rather durable. They are suitable for long-term indoor display only (though I have seen them go outdoors for short periods of time without ill effect). The company can make custom prints, which can be as small as a laptop cover for $40 or as large as 4'x6.5' for $140. These are the 'one-shot' prices listed on the website. Since most SFB-related Fatheads would fall essentially into this category, I think that is about what we could expect to be paying.

I think these would be good examples of how something SFB related might look...

Steve,
While highly unlikely that ADB could do something like this, the FATHEAD format was the original (and possibly still the only?) producer of life-size, removable wall graphics of most of the professional sports franchise players / logos.

They have since branched out into the realm of Disney graphics (for kids walls), superheroes (for older kids), and custom graphics of your own images (for adult kids).

Just thinking how cool it would be to have a 4 foot across Lyran Saber-tooth Tiger (in cat-camo stripes) shooting a 10 or 12 foot long mauler cannon beam that wrapped around the corner of hte game room wall to ultimately connect with an exploding Dragoon...

I know a place in Amarillo that can inkjet print a poster that is 3 feet wide and as long as you want it to be. Not sure where the art would come from, but fairly big posters can be created (go see the on-line office tour for the ones we have on the conference room wall).
