Confirmation: ADDs in Offensive Fire

Post by gar1138 »

I just want to confirm that (in the new v6 rules) when ADDs fire at drones/shuttles within 2 hexes during the Offensive Fire Step (4E3), the to-hit roll is 1-3 (to-hit during Defensive Fire is 1-4). The only reason I ask is that the chart in the new RRB v6 shows the 1-4 to-hit, but doesn't mention the Offensive 1-3 to-hit. Thanks,

Garrett

Its in 4E3: Anti-Drone Offensive Fire, last three paragraphs of page 37. in step two it says it expressly, but it does not have a table showing the offensive roll.

Yeah, I know it is expressly said there (that's where I got it from). :-)

I just wanted to confirm that it was correct, since it does not appear on the chart (only 1-4 appears on the chart, being somewhat misleading).

Thanks,

Garrett

Doing those charts is a gigantic pain in the rear, and I made a mental note to do one and then just forgot.

The chart is there, but it doesn't say anywhere in the text or in the chart that offensive ADD is range 2.

Page 38, Rule 4E3.

(unless I'm just not plain seeing it.)

The two hex range limit is stated in (4E3a).

All the v.6 rules updates are listed in Communique #62 at Commander's Circle.

I am afraid that is not quite true.

Most of the version 6 updates are Communique #62, but not all of them.

For example, there is no mention in the Communique #62 update summary that ADDs can now use Defensive Fire against Suicide Shuttles and that if such defensive fire is successful it will outright destroy the Suicide Shuttle.

Thanks, Jim. I thought they were all there. Just checked again and you're absolutely right. In spite of the title saying the list was the new updates included in v.6, it does not contain all of them.
