List of SFB monsters
Is there a list anywhere for every monster in SFB? I do not have any rules or captains log books (lost everything in a fire a decade ago). Not looking for "scenario numbers" (no good without the books, right) or "buy this book" right now. Possible website link? Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I checked the Master Index and didn't see anything. And, quite frankly, you best bet is going to be getting a list of "SM" scenarios, as those are the scenarios where monsters are introduced. (A couple were also introduced in Captain's Log scenarios, but that is harder to determine.)
Also, as this is specifically an SFB question, I am moving this to the "Star Fleet Battles" topic.

If it helps, there have been a series of monster articles in recent issues of Captain's Log, which have looked into various monsters in greater detail. They are listed under "Monster Special Rules" in the CL article index PDF liked to on the above page. (For some reason, the URL doesn't seem to want to work if I post it here on the forum directly...)
One thing that might also be worth noting is those monsters (be they mechanical, or be they "deep space life forms") which have made a half-step towards becoming an "empire" of sorts, or which have been used as the basis for an empire's own fleet, or even have been reverse-engineered out of rules for a given space navy.
Recent issues have seen a broader range of Juggernaut rules and SSDs created, from a frigate up to a battleship. (The original Juggernaut is considered to be a dreadnought by comparison.) Indeed, some of these have been appearing on Shapeways. Also, the weapon options available to the Juggernaut Empire now include the Shriek missile, which can be difficult to stop and is quite deadly upon impact.
Also, the Branthodon Regime over in the Omega Octant used cloned, lobotomized Space Dragons as the basis for their hybrid Dragonships. These do not get quite the same range of bonuses as "wild" Space Dragons, but are quite distinct as a faction nonetheless.
Their mortal rivals in Omega, the Alunda, went in a somewhat parallel direction: the rules for Alunda Host ships (capital "A") were published first, and only later were rules drawn up for the "wild" alunda (small "a") they are bio-engineered from. Alunda ships have begun to appear on Shapeways, also.

Yeah this is what I feared... Specifically asked "Not to give me rule/scenario numbers" ...and guess what I got? LOL! I was looking for a pasted and copied link of the scenario maybe (PM'd to me)? I guess the "go buy it" answer is all I can expect.... Too bad. Was hoping someone loved these monsters as much as I and had files to share. Thanks to all who replied.

Considering that monsters literally only appear in scenarios (outside those CL monster detail articles), any list of monsters has to include the scenarios. So, whether it is a list of scenarios, or a list of names and the scenarios, it is going to list the scenarios.
And no one is going to send the monster rules outside their products. Asking for such is poor form, especially on the publishers own forum.

The "Intruder Alert" general scenario reminded me that the Gorns encountered mind controlling plants in one historical scenario, and the Federation a zombifying virus in another. These, like Gremlins in yet another scenario, (who, once fhe panic is passed, should be admitted to merely be another intelligent species, ) are specific to a planet, not generally encountered by various empires' spaceships, but they do represent the hazards of exploration.
I've used the monster rules article listing as a form to add other monsters, and colle t the scenarios involving them. Next would be to add stories about them; I know there is one about Dragons and one about Igneous that don't have corresponding scenarios.

That is a great list! Obviously it is available here now, but it is also in a file on the Master Index of the other website?
It reminds me of Dr. McCoy's jibe in the newer Star Trek movie about how many different things in space can kill a person.
